PATH Frequently Asked Questions

Q) Does PATH offer a coop?
A) No, but several members of PATH offer classes of various sorts. In
the past we have had PE, Art, Spanish, and writing classes, just to
mention a few.

Q) What services does PATH offer?
A) Typically PATH provides a newsletter, field trips,
regular meetings, a membership roster, opportunities
for home schooling families to network, and many other activities.

Q) What are the dues?
A) Regular dues are $20 per year or $10 after January 1.
Anyone who cannot afford to pay dues should discuss the
matter with the treasurer. We provide "grants" to families
with financial need.

Q) Is there child care at the meetings?
A) Child care for is provided for children under 5 at the regular meetings.
There is a nominal charge of $1.00 per child. We also provide
organized activities for the older children. Other meetings and events
may or may not provide child care.

Q) How often do you have field trips?
A) Generally we will have one organized field trip per month.
In addition we have a skate day and a park day each month.

Q) Is this a Christian based organization?
A) Yes. Please read our By-Laws. In order to become a member you must
accept and sign our By-Laws which contain a basic Christian confession
of faith.

Q) Is PATH family oriented?
A) Yes. This group is a family oriented group which
encourages all family members to be involved as much as possible.
We strongly encourage board members to be husband and wife teams.
Our name implies full parental involvement -
Parents Are Teaching Hearts. We desire to
encourage the entire family in the home-schooling endeavor.

Q) Do you have any support options for just for the moms?
A) Yes. We have Mom's Night Out. This is a time when Mom can get
together with other home schooling moms for fun, fellowship,
and encouragement. We strongly encourage moms to participate in
this monthly event. We may also, from time to time, have a
regular meeting that is dedicated to a mom's only topic.

A) Currently we have a monthly newsletter. Click

To save in copy and postage expenses, we post our newsletters
on a private web page and send member's an email with the link.
Members who do not have PC access may opt to receive a paper copy.
